Who am I?
I grew up the only brother in the middle of 4 funny and loyal sisters.
Drove through the night to NYC to see Late Night with Conan.
Weird Al Yankovic is the best concert I’ve ever been to.
I love jumping things.
Competed 2x in the Rock Paper Scissors Championships. Lost 2x.
I love pizza. The food pyramid is really just a piece of pizza.
Hiked the side of a cliff in the Swiss Alps.
Stood below 300 foot tall redwoods on the California coast.
I’m small, but I know I’m big to my kids. Being a husband and father is the best job there is.
Why “Two Trees”?
If you’ve ever been at the base of a redwood tree, you don’t forget that. Two Tree Design was born from a time I stood between these giants and had a sort of existential-designer epiphany in my head:
“These redwoods were here hundreds of years before me and took that long to grow hundreds of feet tall and will, hopefully, be here hundreds of years after me.”
I felt so tiny. It inspired me at the same time to make my logo into two trees, weaved into an infinity symbol. I’m reminded that when I create - I’m just a tiny designer guy living on a long timeline trying to make good ideas stick - hopefully they stick for you 😉
